WHITE SHEET FLYERS
Updated: 04/07/16
It’s always nice to put a face to a name, or perhaps name to a face! Below are some of the regular club members who fly at Whitesheet downs – all are very friendly and will happily tell you where the lift is… on your way back from the retrieval 😉
Absolute stalwart of WSRFC. In Den’s words: “When winter flying on Whitesheet, if you can be recoginised then you’re not wearing enough clothes” |
Graeme Mahoney – a dedicated F3f pilot and Aero Engineer, Graeme is a regular Saturday morning flyer and is often to be found practising for the next big race. |
Ian has been flying at Whitesheet for many years. |
Another of our resident F3f pilots, Tony is a force to be reckoned with and is a dedicated and disciplined flier. |
John Treble – now a contributor for the BMFA newsletter, John is a great representative for the slope soaring community. |
Tim, the younger of the two Brocklehurst flyers. Always has a handy stash of lead, when you need some.. |
..And his SuperDad, Alan Brocklehurst. What this man doesn’t know about fluid dynamics, probably isn’t worth knowing! |
Ex-chairman Chris, getting it just right. |
Lynda, another super duper ex-chairman. Famous for summer-based Christmas roast on a remote island in the Bristol Channel. |
Dependable JC, a fine flyer and shed builder. Joe was the 2016 club Competition Secretary. |
Another ex-chairman, shows his latest radio gear! |
Previous competition secretary, Stuart Wallace. Stu is very proud of having re-introduced the English Open F3f competition back into the UK F3f calender. |
