The site is to the North of the town of Mere which is located on the A303.  Please note that this is National Trust property and as such only members are allowed to fly provided that they have BMFA insurance.

Part of the National Trust Stourhead Estate, Whitesheet Hill is of considerable archaeological interest, Items of interest include a Neolithic enclosure dating from around 3,000 BC (nearly 5,000 before WSRFC), a circular earthwork, Bronze Age barrows and an Iron Age hill fort.
