The first competition of the year, and the subject of the much lauded calendar-poster for 2016, was due to run on April 17. Due to the lightest of breezes, the competition did not run, but everyone had a jolly nice time flying sailplanes, drinking camping coffee and eating cake.
Watch this space for when the next competition will be advertised and when the rescheduled nominated manoeuvres will take place.
On Sunday, January 10, the Whitesheet Hill will once again host the Southern Winter League F3f competition, should the weather permit it! All are welcome to come along to this exciting racing time-trial event. If you wish to take part, please refer to the Great Britain Slope Racing Association for more details:
Please note that for safety reasons, access to the slopes for general sport flying will be limited and may not be possible at all once the competition is underway.
